Inclusive Play

Accessibility

PointBase is working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA support across its website and education experiences. We want students, educators, and families to be able to navigate and play using the tools that work for them.

Current design approach

  • Semantic headings, labels, buttons, and status announcements.
  • Keyboard-operable forms and challenge controls.
  • Text alternatives and visible focus states.
  • Responsive layouts that support phone, tablet, and desktop use.
  • Important game information communicated visually as well as through audio.

Classroom accommodations

Teachers should provide additional time, non-timed practice, alternative input, reduced audio or motion, and other reasonable accommodations required by a student’s learning plan or school policy. Competitive speed results should not be the sole measure of a student’s math ability.

Known work in progress

Education features remain in beta and have not yet received an independent accessibility certification or VPAT. Screen-reader, contrast, zoom, reduced-motion, and full keyboard testing are part of the school-readiness process.

Report a barrier

Email support@playpointbase.com with the page, device, browser or assistive technology, and the problem encountered. Please do not include sensitive student information.
