PointBase Education Terms

Authorized education use

Education accounts are for educators and authorized school representatives. Before entering student information, the educator must follow applicable school or district approval, consent, acceptable-use, procurement, and records procedures.

Student information

Enter only the minimum classroom information needed. Use initials, approved nicknames, or other school-approved display names. Do not enter student email addresses, identification numbers, medical information, addresses, telephone numbers, passwords, or other sensitive records.

Permitted purpose

Education data is used to operate accounts, classroom rosters, challenges, homework, scoring, and teacher reports. PointBase does not sell education data, use it for behavioral advertising, or use it to create unrelated commercial profiles.

Educator responsibilities

Educators must protect account credentials, keep challenge codes within the intended group, supervise classroom use, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Registration is not proof of approval by a board, district, or school.

Beta service

Education features are in beta and may change. PointBase may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. No online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation or absolute security.

Data control

Teachers can remove students and classes or delete their education account. Retention and request procedures are explained in the School Privacy Center.
